“Uh-huh, Uh-huh, Yo, Yo…”

Pump up the jam

I hate running on the treadmill. One needs to be distracted while one is running in place. It’s a strange thing, the treadmill. So convenient, yet just stare at one for awhile. It’s weird. Show one to a farmer from 1817. See what I mean? Anywhooooo……

The songs of the day to keep me running on the blasted treadmill are “Groove is in the Heart” by Dee-Lite and “In a Jar” by Dinosaur Jr. If you listen to these songs it will be revealed to you how slow of a runner I really am, but whatever (say it like a floppy-armed-mutton-head: “whatever”). Remember, “it’s not the victory that makes it all worth it. It’s the STRUGGLE.” I am “taking it to the next level.” My goal is to be “MVP times ten!”

(Those Olympics quotes were just for you, El Jefe and Wanda!)

  1. I know what you mean! Being on a treadmill for 15 minutes seems like an hour!

You should put your treadmill in front of the tv while you watch the Olympics. It’s perfect. You can feel sufficiently pumped watching all those athletes, and then you can take notes on all the cheesy announcer quotes!
