“Uh-huh, Uh-huh, Yo, Yo…”

Hello October

One yellow apple
Sitting on brown grass
Hot pink geraniums vanishing
Calendula flower garden brown
With two bright yellow blossoms left blooming
Crisp air at dusk chills me
Brown leaves
Falling before my eyes
In the cool breeze
Hello October.

~Connie Webb

Ok, this actually describes NOVEMBER in Las Vegas.  But I’m so glad that October is here and I love this poem.

October is one of my favorite months.  Say hello to the air finally cooling.  Say hello to Halloween.  Say hello to occasionally wearing long sleeves.  Say hello to more yard work.  Say hello to running outside.  Say hello to getting ready for the holidays.  Hello October.
